This refreshing Creamy Berry Chia Seed Acai Bowl is a perfect way to start your mornings.
As cliche as it sounds, the start of a new year is an awesome way to set goals and start eating healthy. So why not get started with a deliciously healthy breakfast recipe that is not only easy to make but also oh-so-pretty?
Acai bowls have been trending for quite some time now and ever since I tried one at my local smoothie joint, I have fallen in love with them! I mean what’s not to love about them? They are creamy, delicious and bursting with flavors!
But let’s face it, going to a smoothie place to get my fix of acai bowl every now and then is not just inconvenient, it’s not really wallet friendly.
If you have never tried Acai Bowls, it’s basically like a really thick and creamy smoothie, only way better than a smoothie. Acai berry is said to have lots of benefits and is packed with fiber and antioxidants. It is not grown in the US but you can easily get a hold of frozen Acai puree at many retailers.
This Acai Bowl tastes just like dessert for breakfast.
Seriously, can you say no to this delicious bowl? Even my husband, who is not a huge fan of smoothies told me that he wanted to eat this every morning!
Since I’m on a low sugar challenge this year, I sweetened up my Acai Bowl with Truvia Natural Sweetener Packets I got it from my local Acme Market, but you can find yours at your local grocery store.
Since Truvia Natural Sweetener has zero calories, it is great for people who want to reduce their calorie intake, including people with diabetes and those looking to reduce sugar in their diets. It is also great for people who are looking for gluten-free options.
For this delicious recipe, all you will need are a handful of frozen berries of your choice, banana, chia seeds, almond milk and Frozen Acai puree. Of course, we cannot forget to sweeten up our Acai Bowl.
Since Truvia Natural Sweetener has zero calories, it was the perfect way to sweeten up my Creamy Berry Chia seed Acai bowl.

Ingredients
- Frozen Banana - 1
- Mixed Frozen berries - 1/2 cup (I used a mix of blueberries. blackberries and strawberries)
- Unsweetened Frozen Acai Puree - 3.5 oz
- Almond Milk - 1/2 cup
- Ice - 1/2 cup
- Truvia Natural Sweetener - 1-2 packets (depending on the sweetness you desire)
- Chia Seeds - 1 tbsp
- Sliced Almonds - 1 tbsp
- Chia Seeds - 1 tsp
- Unsweetened Coconut Flakes - 1 tsp
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients - frozen Acai puree, banana, mixed berries, almond milk, chia seeds, Truvia Natural Sweetener and ice in a blender and pulse till everything is properly combined. You may need to pulse it for a longer time depending on your blender since the mixture is thick.
- Pour the mixture into a bowl and then top it off with sliced bananas, chia seeds, almonds or any other toppings of your choice.
Notes
You can use soy milk or regular milk instead of almond milk. If you are having trouble with blending the ingredients in your blender, you can add a little more almond milk if desired.
So tell me, wouldn’t you like to start your mornings with this delicious and fancy looking breakfast?
If you decide to make this Acai Bowl with Truvia Natural Sweetener, remember that 3/4 tsp or one packet of Truvia Natural Sweetener is equal to 2 tsp of regular sugar. You can get started with these conversion charts here.
