Start your mornings on the right note with this better for you Greek Yogurt Acai Bowl full of protein & antioxidants.
Can you guys believe that 2019 has come to an end? Like most of you, I too feel that the past year just flew by. So I am not too big on resolutions – I like to take up achievable resolutions and one of them is to have a nutritious and filling breakfast every single day.
So a little backstory – with a little toddler who takes up all of my energy, I have honestly not been able to focus on myself this past year – so much so that sometimes I often end up skipping my breakfast or just have a cup of coffee (that I often end up reheating because you know – “mom life” happens to get the very best of me.
But this New Year, I have decided to focus on myself, one step at a time. One of the ways that I plan to do it is to always have a nutritious and delicious breakfast that I can make under 5 minutes like this Greek Yogurt Acai Bowl.
Usually, plain greek yogurt can be a little tart, but this honey flavored greek yogurt by the brand Greek Gods gives the perfect amount of sweetness without overpowering the taste of your smoothies or breakfast bowls.
I mean who wouldn’t want to dive in this beautiful and colorful bowl of deliciousness every morning? And as they say, when you start your mornings right – you are bound to have a great day.
The first thing you need is a tub of some good old Greek Yogurt. I have used Greek Gods Greek Yogurt in the Honey flavor that I got from my local Walmart – you can get it in their dairy aisle in the yogurt section (on the lower shelf).
Then you need either a frozen acai puree packet or frozen acai berries, plus some other berries of your choice, as well as a frozen banana.
The rich and creamy consistency and flavor of Greek Gods Greek Yogurt makes this smoothie bowl so delicious & a great addition to all of your favorite smoothies and parfaits, or simply enjoyed on its own.
-

So here’s how you can whip up a delicious batch of Greek Yogurt Acai Bowl under 5 minutes –
Greek Yogurt Acai Bowl
Ingredients
- Greek Yogurt (I used the brand Greek Gods Greek Yogurt in Honey flavor) - 1/2 cup
- Frozen Acai puree - 1 small packet
- Mixed frozen berries/ fruits of your choice (I have used a mix of raspberries, blueberries and mango) - 1/2 cup
- Frozen banana -1/2
-
Instructions
- Put all the ingredients in your blender til everything is nicely combined and you get a rich and creamy texture.
- If your blender isn't powerful enough and you have trouble blending all the ingredients, you can add a little water/ milk to help with the blending process.
Notes
Since my greek yogurt was already a bit sweet, I have not used any extra sweetener in this recipe.
However, you can add honey/ sugar to your acai bowl as per your liking.
