Do you sometimes feel that your day has just begun but you are already running out of energy? Here are a few tips that can help you stay energized all day long and rock even a crazy schedule.
With kids now going back to school, parents have an even crazier schedule; and juggling work and kids’ activities can be quite challenging.
Like many of you, my husband and I have busy schedules. A typical weekday for me begins at 6 am. After taking care of all the daily morning chores, I start working by 8 am and sometimes I get so busy that I honestly lose track of time and work till 7 or 8 in the evening.
The same goes for my husband – when he has certain projects, he works even after getting back home. This can be really exhausting and energy draining.
Not only that, sometimes even our weekends are jam-packed with extra projects since that’s the time we can utilize our free time to get more work done. But being a workaholic can certainly leave you exhausted. Even though you know you gotta finish a project, your body may not want to co-operate with you.
So what do you do when your crazy schedules drain out all your energy? The trick is to follow simple steps and incorporate habits that will help you achieve your goals more effectively.
Choose the right type of Breakfast
We all know that Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. But choosing the right type of breakfast is very crucial. Skipping breakfast has never helped me and I have learned it the hard way.
I love making Overnight Oats or a Chia pudding so that I don’t have to worry about what to eat in the morning. But on days when I feel like switching things up, a simple avocado toast or boiled eggs also does the trick to keep me fueled and get through the morning.
Get a quick workout even if it’s just for 20 minutes
Exercise can help your body and mind as it helps to relieve stress. But with busy schedules, sometimes going to the gym can become almost impossible.
If the gym is not your thing, find something that you love. For example, I love doing Zumba and this form of workout is something that actually benefits me.
But if time is an issue and you aren’t able to commit to a specific time, just take a small walk outdoors even if it’s just for a mere 15-20 minutes.
Sure it may not do what a regular gym session or a jog will do but hey, at least it gets your muscles moving.
Take regular Breaks
Sometimes we get so swamped by work that we lose track of time and forget to take breaks. I mean sometimes I used to even forget to drink water! How crazy is that?! Now I always keep a bottle of water right in front of me and make my husband do it as well.
Taking regular breaks in between can also help you to clear your thoughts if you’re stuck on an idea or project.
Know what ingredients are in your Snack
Okay, let’s talk about snacks, shall we? I have always been someone who enjoys snacking in between meals. But snacking on chips or pretzels is not going to help you in any way and just make you hungry again after some time. Knowing what goes in your snack is really important as you want to eat something that will energize you.
Similarly, as much as I love my morning coffee, as the day progresses, I like to go a bit easy on the caffeine. A great option to stay energized and stay fueled is Honest Tea® & Lorissa’s Kitchen™.
I recently tried the Honest Tea in their Organic Honey Green Tea flavor and loved it. It’s just a tad sweet and it helps me to stay refreshed when I’m on the go or when I’m feeling a little low on energy and want something to make me feel energized.
Even my husband likes to carry it to work in his backpack so that he can have it while at work, especially during the afternoon slump or on his evening commute.
I like to munch on snacks that are high in protein, low in carbs as well as low in fat and Lorissa’s Kitchen provides all these benefits. Have you guys tried out their Korean Barbeque flavor? It’s the bomb dot com.
And that’s not all. Here are its other benefits –

Declutter your Workspace
Whether your work in a corporate office or from your home, the visual appeal of your workspace is very important. I used to be that girl who used to have piles of paperwork stacked on her desk. Yes, happens to many of us. Not only is it visually unappealing, but it can also cause you to not stay focused.
Having a clean and organized workspace can really help you to focus on your goals.
So if you’re reading this post, I want you to take a look at your workspace today. If there is anything that doesn’t belong there or that you don’t need right away, clear it out. After all, it’s never too late for Spring Cleaning, or might I say Fall cleaning? 😀
Keep any important paperwork in drawers so that you can still access it and get rid of the excess clutter. Keep only what is necessary on the desk so that you can achieve your goals more effectively.
Use an Aroma diffuser to relax
Ever since I started using an Aroma Diffuser, it has literally changed my life. It’s really unbelievable how such a small thing can help you relax as well as boost your senses. The best part is that you don’t need a fancy, expensive diffuser for this. Mine is for less than $30 and it works amazing.
Essential oil with citrus scents like orange and lemon as well as Eucalyptus Oil are said to have energy-boosting properties and are said to help you improve your focus.
Meditate
You must have read or heard the benefits of meditation but if you haven’t tried it yet, you really should give it a try. Lately, my husband and I both have started meditation. It can be as little as just 5 minutes. There are also several free apps that can help to guide you through the steps.
Trust me, it will help to clear your mind and stay more focused.
Find what time suits you best. I mostly do it in the mornings but sometimes I do it before sleeping. It helps to create positivity around you.
So there you go – these are some simple ways you can follow that can help you to stay energized and rock even a crazy schedule. What are some of the tips that help you to get past a busy day?
I hope you also give the Honest Organic Honey Green Tea and Lorissa’s Kitchen a try. Also, don’t forget to take advantage of the Ibotta offer where you can earn $1 cash back by purchasing a combo of Lorissa’s Kitchen and Honest Tea.
