You know how you make an easy recipe and love it so much that you end up making it again and again? Well, this is that kind of recipe for me.
These Chocolate Almond Butter Oat Energy balls are so incredibly delicious and ridiculously easy to make that I have already made these thrice in the past couple of weeks. And I’m sure that just like me, once you make them, you will find yourself reaching for them again and again and again.
The key ingredient in these energy balls is Chocolate Almond Butter Spread. I love different kinds of nut butter – especially peanut and almond butter. They just take simple recipes like overnight oats, homemade energy bars etc. to the next level. But I had never tried a decadent nut butter or dessert butter as they say it, and now I know what I was missing out on all this time.
I recently got to try Once Again Organic Amore Almond Spread with Milk Chocolate and the moment I tasted it, I fell in love with it. It has a rich, chocolaty taste and is healthier than other dessert butters.
Honestly, it tastes great just as is but when you add them to these energy balls, your taste buds will get a treat for sure. It also pairs really well with fruits – just dip your fruits like apple, banana, raspberries, cherries – you name it – and you have a decadent & healthy treat ready in just under minutes.

Now coming to this recipe, like mentioned above – all you need are just 5 ingredients and you have a power-packed snack ready under 10 minutes.
Seriously, I’m not even kidding that it took me less than 10 minutes to make these. My husband loved it so much that he kept asking me for it even after he had devoured all of them, so I ended up making another batch the very next day (Yes, these are that good!)
And when you make them, don’t forget to lick that spoon – actually I don’t even know why I need to write this because I’m going to assume you are going to end up licking that spoon filled with chocolaty goodness.
Warning: These are going to be devoured pretty quickly 😀
- Powdered Oats - 1 cup
- Ground almonds & walnuts - 1/2 cup
- Once Again Amore Chocolate almond spread - 4 tbsp
- Ground flax seeds (optional) - 1 tbsp
- Mix the powdered oats, ground nut powder, ground flax seeds together.
- Add the Chocolate Almond butter spread in the dry ingredients and mix with your hands. Form bite sized balls and enjoy.
You can use any nut powder of your choice. Instead of ground almonds & walnuts, you can use just walnut powder or just almond powder if you prefer. For the nut powder - roast the nuts and then grind them in a blender/ food processor. If you find a bit of difficulty making the balls, apply some oil to your palm so the balls wont stick to you hands.
