Make your Holiday parties even more festive with these delicious Crispy Baked Crab and Cheese Balls.
There’s nothing in the world that makes me happier than making a mind-blowingly easy recipe. During the Holidays I love making appetizers that can be made ahead of time.
My family is a huge seafood lover and whenever we have family parties, you will always see at least one dish with seafood in it. The party does not feel complete if there’s no seafood.
I also like to make appetizers that are light yet satisfying – something that will keep you filled until dinner time but that won’t make you so full that you have absolutely no space in your tummy to enjoy the rest of the meal.
I also love appetizers that you can serve on a stick or toothpicks as they are easy to pass around as well as so much less messy.
So if you love bite-sized appetizers and are a seafood lover, you will love these Baked Crab and Cheese Balls. You can make them ahead of time and once they are baked, you can stick them on a toothpick or some fancy mini bamboo sticks like how I did to give it an extra festive touch to your Holiday parties.
This Crab and Cheese Balls recipe is one of those dishes that will disappear in no time. With the delicious flavors of crab meat and melted cheese, this is one dish that I know will be a hit during the Holidays.
I served mine with some Chipotle Mayo but you can serve it with any dressing or dip of your choice.
For this dish, I used Louis Kemp® Crab Delights® Flake Style that I got from my local Shoprite’s Seafood Section (in the refrigerated section).
Crab Delights are made with premium Wild Alaskan Pollock fillets. They are gluten-free, a good source of protein and are also naturally low in calories and cholesterol making it perfect for salads or other meals.
To make this recipe, start by gathering all your ingredients – I used an entire 8 oz packet of Louis Kemp Crab Delights Flake Style, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, bread crumbs, egg and cream cheese. I also added chopped jalapenos and paprika to give it some extra flavor.
Chop the meat and then mix all the ingredients together.
After the mixture is combined properly, form them into balls. At this point, you can just stick them in the fridge or go ahead and bake them at 375 F for about 15 minutes.
Once baked, these babies will be ready for you and your guests to devour.

December 15, 2017Hi Karen, you most definitely can. Make sure to chop it in smaller pieces so that it’s easy to roll into balls.

December 24, 2017Sorry I’m unclear on the breadcrumbs , are you to add 1/2 cup to the mix and then use more to coat ? Or just use to coat ? Thanks Dave

December 24, 2017Hi Dave, You need to add 1/2 cup to the mix for binding. And then you use a little more to coat before baking. Hope this clears up any confusion.
