Even though you may try really hard to cook every single day, sometimes it’s just not possible. And although there are so many prepared meals and frozen options available, the question that always pops in my mind is – “is this healthy? I hope I’m not fueling myself with ingredients that may be harmful to me or my family.”
As a new mom, I hardly have time to cook. I mean I knew it would be tough to get household chores done once the baby is here, but now I am actually experiencing it. Even a 5-minute shower is like bliss to me. I know all you moms can easily relate to this.
But I also know that I need to eat healthier so that I have the energy to tend to my little one. One of my resolutions this year was to include more plant-based meals in my diet. So when I came across Alpha Burritos that are vegan & 100% plant-based, I was naturally curious to try them out.
For me, even before I became a mom, easy & healthy meals have always been a priority. I will be honest & admit that I had never tried vegan burritos before so I was not sure what to expect.
First & foremost, they are super convenient to carry on the go. Just pull them out from your freezer and pop them in the microwave or you can even use the oven to heat it up.
They come in four varieties – Mexicali, Pizza, Philly Sandwich, and Chick ‘N Fajita.
The best part about them is that apart from being 100% plant-based, they are also non-GMO, free from hormones, corn syrup, artificial preservatives, and all animal products
They taste quite ‘meaty’ and people who love meat won’t really feel as if they’re missing out on meat.
They have vegan cheese in it which again doesn’t taste all that different than regular cheese. My family is a meat lover but we still loved these tasty and scrumptious vegan burritos.
I’m always looking for healthier options to stock up in my freezer & I’m glad I found these as I can always have a backup in my freezer when I’m running short on time.
I honestly think Alpha Burritos are not only great for vegans or vegetarians but are also awesome for someone who’s looking to reduce meat or dairy consumption without sacrificing on taste.
Serve these with some guacamole or salsa & mealtime just got so much better!
They’re available at various retailers like Walmart, Publix, Wegmans, Fairway Market, Sprouts Farmers Market, Fry’s Food Stores, Safeway, Shaws, Albertsons, Ralphs and more. You can find them in the frozen, healthy options aisle.

January 21, 2019My new years resolution is to no longer eat restaurant food. I decided to do this a few months ago, and I held to it, with the exception of a pizza at my brothers house!! I want to do it entirely this year, with no exceptions. The availability of delicious frozen foods like these burritos make it easier to manage!!
