I like to call Sundays my rest days. By that I mean, I truly like to relax and let the hubby take over the kitchen. But him taking over the kitchen is not what you’d think. It’s more like him asking me in the morning whether I’d like to go out and grab a cup of coffee. And then when I say yes, the next question that follows is – ‘Do you want something else with it too? Like maybe grab a quick bite?’ Of course, this question has only one answer and that is a big, fat – YES!
Last Sunday was another one of those days when the hubs asked me this question to which he already knows my answer. Quite obviously, I couldn’t say no and we decided to stop by our local McDonald’s to grab some breakfast and coffee.
Fun Fact about me – The Sausage Mcgriddles have been one of my all time favorites since a really long time. And ever since McDonald’s has started their All Day Breakfast, I often get it as a small little treat for myself.
This time though, apart from getting a Sausage McGriddle from their All Day Breakfast menu, I got an Egg McMuffin® Sandwich Meal which comes with a side of Hash browns and your choice of beverage while my husband got the Egg White Delight McMuffin® Sandwich.
If you remember my previous posts of how McDonald’s has upped its game with its Signature Crafted Recipes & Premium Salads, I had shared how they have made consistent efforts to give their customers food with great taste and real ingredients. And well, their breakfast menu is not far behind.
Did you know that the perfectly round eggs in the Egg McMuffin® sandwiches taste so good because they are made at restaurants freshly by cracking a ‘USDA grade A’ egg into an egg ring? Fresh as fresh can get and perfectly delicious.
Also, they use real butter on their bagels, biscuits and English muffins instead of liquid margarine.
Knowing what goes in my meal is really essential for me as I’m sure it would be important for you as well. I honestly feel McDonald’s has done a commendable job by taking these efforts.
Our Sunday turned out to be amazing thanks to McDonald’s All Day Breakfast. Waiting for yet another weekend so I can get my fix of the delicious Egg McMuffin® sandwiches and of course my favorite Sausage Mcgriddle!
Just a little reminder – if you have haven’t already downloaded the McDonald’s app, you really should. They have so many BOGO offers/ freebies going on all the time that it’s definitely a keeper.
How do you spend your weekend mornings? Do you also like to sometimes treat yourself by heading out for breakfast on weekends?
