McDonald's Premium Salads - fresh, crispy and zesty

Do you remember I had shared how McDonald’s is upping its game with their New Signature Sandwiches? Well, being a part of McDonald’s brand ambassador program has given me a chance to share about their new premium salads that are made with zesty flavors and chicken with no antibiotics.

I love making healthy recipes at home. And I love sneaking in greens in our meals whenever I can. But sometimes when life becomes too busy and when I’m pinched for time, grabbing a meal on the go is one of the easiest options.

One of the times when I feel too exhausted to put together a meal is when I return from my Zumba sessions. You see, I go for Zumba thrice a week in the evenings. It’s such a fun exercise that I always look forward to it. But it’s also a very intense activity especially when your Zumba instructor pushes you and makes you work hard!

Many times I get so exhausted after coming back from a terrific Zumba session that I’m just too tired to put together a healthy meal. So last week after a heavy Zumba session, we headed to our nearest McDonald’s to try out their new Premium Salads.

While I opted for the Southwest Grilled Chicken salad, my husband decided to go for their Bacon & Ranch Buttermilk Crispy chicken salad.

While the Southwest salad has bold, zesty flavors, the Bacon & Ranch salad was light and crispy.

Going to McDonald’s is also a great excuse to get their shakes every once in a while, especially during summertime. It’s a quick way to curb those late night sweet cravings. C’mon now, I know I’m not the only one who has those sudden cravings out of nowhere.

These premium salads have replaced iceberg lettuce with fresh romaine and also have baby spinach, baby kale, Tuscan red leaf lettuce and ribbon-cut carrot curls. Plus each salad has about 2.5 cups of vegetables. Now doesn’t that sound just deliciously healthy?

The best part about these salads is that they can also be customized to suit your own tastes and preferences by going for grilled Artisan chicken or crispy Buttermilk chicken in either bacon and ranch flavor or Southwest dressing.

In the past two years, McDonald’s has made commendable efforts to serve food with modern choices and has made significant changes to the way it sources, prepares and evolves its food that impacts nearly half of the items on its national menu.

And just like the chicken in their Signature Crafted Burgers, the chicken that is used by McDonald’s in their salads is made with 100% chicken breast filet. These new salads are indeed a great way to get those greens in a delicious way.

Do they have veg options that I can try? Good that you enjoyed their salads and that they added these!

Yeah they do have a veg option too with grape Tomatoes and other veggies. And even these salads can be customized with no meat as well.
