My love for cheesecake is eternal! It is a bond that can never be broken. I like to believe that a slice of this heavenly dessert can fix anything ? So to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary, ‘The Cheesecake Factory’ seemed like a perfectly good idea!
I have noticed that this place is almost always packed (even on weekdays) and no wonder we got a wait time for about 20 minutes. For appetizers, we ordered their ‘Roadside sliders’ which had 4 sliders with pickles on the side and ‘Dynamite Shrimp Tempura’. The sliders were just as expected… soft and juicy while the shrimps were fresh and crispy with a delectable, spicy sauce!
For entrées, ‘Chicken Madeira’ – is listed as their most popular dish on the menu and I can see why…!! The unbelievably tender chicken was topped with melted mozzarella cheese, mushrooms and asparagus. It came with a side of creamy mashed potatoes and their Madeira sauce was exquisitely flavorsome. I highly, highly recommend this dish.
The hubby chose Steak Diane which had medallions of Angus Beef Steak covered with mushroom wine sauce and had a side of mashed potatoes as well. Out of the two, the chicken was wayyy tastier in my opinion.
Now I should have kept in mind that their entrees are humongous! We should have either ordered one entrée or skipped the appetizers completely. So although everything was delicious, we decided to take half of it as a to-go… why you may ask? See because my brain works in mysterious ways, I wanted to save some room for dessert ?
So as you all must obviously know, they have a tremendously wide assortment of cheesecakes. Sometimes I feel I should just devour all of them instead of having food.
In spite of all the choices, I always gravitate towards the original, classic cheesecake. In Rachel Green’s words – There is nothing better than a cheesecake with ‘a buttery, crumbly graham cracker crust and a very rich yet light cream cheese filling’ (whaddup ‘F.R.I.E.N.D.S’ reference!?) Every bite of it makes me beg for more.
But then I saw ‘Tiramisu’ flavor in the menu – and my eyes became wide… who can avoid such a lovely combination? So Tiramisu Cheesecake it was! And I am Not. Complaining. At all. It was PERFECT!
I was pleased with the restaurant’s prompt service which doesn’t happen often in places with bustling activity. The food portions are great and well worth it but if you are just here for the cheesecake, you can avoid waiting in line and get a slice of it as a to-go.
My hunt for the perfect cheesecake is an ongoing journey. I have tried them at many places and for now, I’m satisfied with the one served here. I would love to hear from you guys about any other places that serve top-notch cheesecakes. I’ll make sure to hunt that place and make it mine! ?
As always, have a wonderful day and keep on smiling!
XOXO
