What are some simple pleasures of life?? In this tech-driven world, one way to unplug yourself and submerge in nature is by going to a beach.

Now that the weather is much warmer, we decided to take a quick day trip to the nearest beach last Saturday. Our destination was Sandy Hook – one of the popular Jersey Shore getaway beaches which had pretty good reviews.

There is something so calm and peaceful about beaches. The sound of the waves crashing takes you in an instant state of rejuvenation. The weather was just perfect. Some say walking on the beach barefoot reduces stress and is good for the feet since sand is one of nature’s best exfoliant. Well I say, I’d do it even if there were no benefits from it! I mean, who wouldn’t?

After relaxing on the beach for sometime, we went to have dinner. There were a lot of seafood options (quite obviously) and we savored every bite of it.

Our original plan was to hit the road and head home after dinner. But then we were like, “should we go back to the beach? Heck yeah!” So we stayed at the beach until sunset and honestly, I didn’t feel like leaving even after being there for such a long time.
