As someone who tries to include meatless meals at least 2 or 3 times a week, I am always searching for options that can provide the right nutrition and protein.
I recently got to try Tempeh for the very first time which is a rich source of plant-based protein with a savory and slightly nutty flavor.
Both Tempeh and Tofu are made from soybeans, but the basic difference is that tempeh is made using a fermenting process. Tastewise, I found tempeh to be more heartier than tofu. It has a more ‘meaty’ and firm texture to it if that makes sense.
The best part about it is that it is truly versatile and you can pair it in so many ways – wraps, sandwiches, or even grain bowls.
