These delicious and creamy Hot Chocolate Oats are just what you need as the weather starts getting colder.
There’s nothing quite like a warm cup of hot chocolate on a cold winter day. But what if you could enjoy that same delicious flavor in a healthy, hearty bowl of oats? That’s where hot chocolate oats come in.
We love overnight oats at our home – it is one of our favorite breakfast recipes as they are so easy to make and are so versatile – you can add in anything that you love and customize it as per your preference.
However, as the weather starts getting colder, I usually like to make a hot breakfast in the morning instead of things like smoothies or cold overnight oats. And these hot chocolate oats are just the perfect recipe that you can make in just a couple of minutes.
This recipe is toddler approved so if you have a fussy eater (especially on those crazy school mornings), this a great way to make them excited for breakfast!
Oats are a great source of fiber and nutrients, and adding a scoop of cocoa powder along with some creamy whole milk can make for a delicious and satisfying breakfast on those cold winter mornings.
I have used Organic Valley Milk in this recipe because it is certified organic with 13 essential nutrients and has a rich and creamy taste!
As parents, I am sure we always try and give the best possible food to our little ones. Since milk is one of the foods that my little one has every single day, I get Organic Valley Milk. Not only is it packed with nutrients, but it also does not have any toxic pesticides, antibiotics, synthetic hormones, or GMOs in it.
It also goes through 57 separate quality checks so as to make sure that families are always getting the very best!
Organic Valley is passionate about doing what’s right for people, animals, and the earth, and is committed to bringing ethically-made organic food to families everywhere. This makes it an easy feel-good choice.
Fun Fact: Did you know that Organic Valley farmers graze their cows 50% more than organic requirements? This makes the cow happier and healthier, ultimately leading to better milk.
As for the toppings, I have added marshmallows to these hot chocolate oats to make it all the more exciting for my toddler. But you can completely skip it if you’d like. You can even add some chocolate shavings on top of it if you are feeling a bit indulgent.
