Pamper yourself and give some love to your skin with these helpful at-home spa tips.
We all have our skincare routines that we follow in the morning as well as before going to bed. But do you truly take out the time for pampering yourself? Not many of us can give a positive reply to this question.
Here are some at-home spa tips that you can follow at home without having to spend a lot of money on a spa session. And for those of you who have little kids running around, tell your hubby to go on daddy duty so that you can have some time for yourself. After all, you deserve and need that me time!
Set the Mood
Whenever you go to a spa, the first thing that you would usually notice is the soft soothing music and the scent of essential oils wafting through the air.
To truly create that spa vibe in your home, start off by putting some relaxing music on your phone and light your favorite scented candle or your aromatherapy diffuser if you have one. these small things will help you create a spa-like environment.
Treat your Face
Before you apply any kind of mask or exfoliate your skin, remove all your makeup and clean your face. I love using my facial brush at least once a week as it cleanses as well as gently exfoliates my skin all the while massaging my face.
After that, the next step is to apply a face mask. Select a mask that can help purify your skin and take away all the dirt, oil, and surface toxins.
Ever since I came across charcoal masks, I have been obsessed with them, to say the least.
Last weekend was one such pamper weekend of mine and I made sure to use the Biore Self Heating One Minute Mask which is one of my favorites. It is infused with natural charcoal and helps to draw out pore-clogging dirt, oil, and impurities. The cool part about this mask is that it heats up as you apply it to your skin and only takes 1 minute to work its wonders.
Yup, you heard that right! You can pamper your skin in literally under a minute thanks to these self-heating masks. My skin definitely felt softer after using them.
They are affordable and come in a pack of four. Because they are packed individually, they are really convenient to travel with too!
One of the problem areas on our face is often the nose area – all the dust and pollution can get trapped in the pores and getting rid of blackheads can be a real headache.
These Biore Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips work like a magnet, lifting out deep-down grime, oil, and blackheads from even your most clogged pores. They are dermatologist-tested and in just 10 minutes it can remove weeks’ worth of buildup AND excess oil.
I used the pore strip along with the Biore one-minute mask and I couldn’t be happier. True story – I told the hubs to try out the pore strip and although hesitant at first, he actually ended up loving it! Now that’s a winning product in my opinion!
You can get them at your local Target or order them from Amazon. Both the products are under $6 and they are definitely worth giving a try!

Don’t forget your body
Soothe your muscles by taking a nice relaxing hot bubble bath. After all, we are here for the entire deal.
Epsom salt is said to have some really amazing benefits which include soothing and relaxing sore muscles.
I love using eucalyptus-scented Epsom salt as its relaxing scent helps me to unwind after a tiring day. And if you want to get extra fancy, you can even use those fizzy bath bombs. Body scrubs are also a great way to help exfoliate your skin and make it smoother.
Moisturize
Once your bath is done, do not forget to moisturize your skin with your favorite body lotion or moisturizer. This is a crucial step as you don’t want your skin to dry after a nice relaxing bath/ shower.
Give some love to your Nails
So what if you have not booked a manicure appointment? You can certainly give some love to your nails by massaging your hands with your favorite hand cream as well as applying cuticle oil to your nails. If you have time, you can even buff and prep your nails and apply your favorite polish.
Lastly, relax!
After this nice and relaxing at-home pampering session, you can kick back with a nice steaming cup of tea or a cool glass of fruit-infused water (just the way they serve at spas). Unwind the day by reading a book or by watching your favorite tv show.
Do you love pampering yourself at home? What are some of your at-home spa tips? I would love to know!
And if you haven’t yet tried out the Bioré Self Heating One Minute Mask and Deep Cleansing Charcoal Pore Strips, you should definitely treat your skin with them!

March 26, 2018I actually meant to write both – either bubble baths with those fizzy bath bombs or a regular bath with Epsom salt. Although I prefer the latter.
