Lemon water is one of the most simplest and easiest ways to refresh yourself.
I have been having lemon water since many years now. I love the taste of freshly squeezed lemon juice in warm water the first thing in the morning. And ever since I got married, I got my hubby into the habit as well. Lemon water tastes wonderful, looks pretty and plus you don’t have to spend a fortune on it!
So what does lemon water exactly do? Lemons are said to have a lot of amazing health benefits. Having warm lemon water in the morning is one of the most easiest ways to start your day.
So here are 11 reasons why you should drink lemon water every day –
1. Feel Energized
Drinking a glass of lemon water is said to give a natural boost of energy and can help to improve your mood.
2. Cleanses your system
Lemon water is said to flush out toxins in your body and thus can help to cleanse your system.
3. Full of Vitamin C
Lemons are loaded with Vitamin C which is a powerful antioxidant.
4. Helps digestion
Warm Lemon water is said to help regulate natural bowel movement in a much more effective manner.
5. Boosts immunity
Lemons are said to pump up your immunity thanks to all the natural goodness and vitamins that they have.
Tip: If lemon juice in water is a bit strong for you, simply cut the lemon into thin slices and drop them in your water. Similarly, you can even add a few cucumber slices or mint leaves to lemon water and make a delicious glass of infused water.
6. Hydrate
Everyone knows the importance of staying hydrated and lemon water is an excellent way of staying hydrated. It makes plain old water taste way better without adding calories to it.
7. Natural Breath Freshener
Forget those mints and gums with all the artificial flavors in them. A glass of lemon water can help freshen your breath.
8. Happy skin
Since Lemons have antioxidants, it’s said to help reduce blemishes and wrinkles. Glowing skin, here I come!!! 🙂
9. Reduces Bloating
Lemon water can also help to reduce that bloated feeling we get many times.
10. Weight loss
Many studies have shown that lemon water naturally boosts your metabolism, which can help in your weight loss process.
11. Excellent source of Potassium:
We all know lemons are loaded with Vitamin C but not many of us are aware that lemons are also an excellent source of Potassium.
So these were some of the amazing benefits of Lemon Water. Interesting how such a simple thing can be so effective, right?
