Has life become so hectic that you are constantly on take-out meals? Maybe you want to eat a delicious homemade gourmet meal but don’t have the time or patience to do so.
Or maybe, you just want to take a break some day from all the cooking and the running around that you do. All you wish to do is kick back with a glass of wine (or coffee, perhaps?) and wish someone handed you a steaming plate of deliciousness.
If the answer to any of this is yes, Home Bistro is for you!
Home Bistro is a Prepared Meal service that lets you customize your meals. All items are precooked by their Certified Executive Chef and then, they flash freeze these meals for you. The meals arrive frozen and are easy to cook in a microwave, oven or stovetop within 10 minutes!
Why Flash Frozen?
Flash freezing helps the nutrients to be locked in offering a higher nutritional value. The food is sourced, prepared and frozen in short order. Once flash frozen, foods retain all of their maximum nutrients, minerals, and flavor until you are ready for a great dinner.
I decided to try a few of their meals recently. All the meals arrived in a box in a perfectly frozen condition.
Each meal is packed in individual Ziplock bags so it’s easy to store in the Freezer.
The first meal we tried was Fried Chicken Breast with Risotto, Roasted Brussel Sprouts and Stone-ground Mustard Sauce (doesn’t it sound delicious?)
Like I said, the meal is already cooked and frozen, you just need to heat it up. There are normally three ways you can cook – on a stovetop or microwave an oven. I used the stovetop method.
The chicken and risotto was really delicious. I’m not a huge fan of Brussel sprouts so I won’t comment on that 😀
Next, we tried their Fire-grilled Chicken with Couscous, Honey Glazed Carrots with Greek Yogurt.
This was even healthier since the chicken was boiled and then fire grilled. The honey glazed carrots and couscous went really well with the meal.
What I liked about them –
The convenience of eating a delicious meal in the comfort of my home.
There are times I’m just too tired or busy to prepare a delicious meal. Settling down for a sandwich or the regular pre-packaged frozen meals from the grocery store is something I don’t really like to do. Don’t get me wrong but some of the frozen grocery meals just don’t right. So this is a perfect option for days like these.
The instructions are written very clearly on each meal which made it very easy to thaw the meals.
It’s not a monthly subscription type of service. This is especially great for people who don’t really need weekly or monthly deliveries. You can just place an order whenever you wish to and your Chef-prepared Frozen meal will be delivered with 2-4 business days.
Apart from traditional meals, they also offer nutritional and special dietary meal options such as Vegetarian, Diabetic and even Desserts!
Final Thoughts
So if your busy schedule doesn’t allow you to prepare gourmet foods on a regular basis, you should definitely give Home Bistro a try. You can have a delicious meal from the freezer to your table in under 10 to 20 minutes without all the prep work and cooking!
They offer 100% satisfaction guarantee and if you are not satisfied with the meal for any reason, they also offer refunds.
While they may not be the cheapest, they are definitely not more than what you’d spend on a regular take-out meal. Plus, they have regular sales on their site as well starting from $8.99. Currently, they ship to all cities in the United States. Check them out and see for yourself. It’s definitely worth giving a try.
