Spreading Joy with 4 Easy Holiday Themed Cookies

Spread joy with Holiday Themed cookies

I always like to joke around and say – “Don’t trust anyone who says no to a Cookie!” I mean, seriously, who can say no to cookies? If you do, well, we can’t be friends. Okay, I’m kidding 😀 But I confess that I’m addicted to cookies and I like to indulge in them every once in a while. I feel Holidays are the time when everyone should treat themselves without that guilty feeling 🙂

So the other day when I was at Walmart, I got really excited looking at all the fun Holiday set up in the baking aisle. And then I ended up buying several of the Betty Crocker Cookie Mix like their Chocolate Chip, Walnut Chocolate chip, White Chip Macadamia Nut,  as well as their limited edition cookie mix such as their Pumpkin Spice and Gingerbread!

For this Holiday season, I’m sharing four delightful ways in which you can make fresh, moist and delicious cookies using Betty Crocker Cookie Mix.

The first one is a cute ‘Rudolph the Reindeer inspired Pumpkin Spice Cookies.’ I mean just look at how cute they are!

I just pressed M&Ms for the nose & eyes and stuck chocolate pretzels as the ears. Easy and cute! It’s a fun little activity for the kids as well.

To the rest of the Pumpkin spiced cookies, I applied buttercream frosting and sprinkled some cinnamon on it.

I was also feeling a little more festive, so I went ahead and made Gingerbread cookies since I love, love, love them!!!!

While the Reindeer & Gingerbread Cookies are mainly geared towards the kiddos, I wanted to make something where the adults can have a little fun as well. So I made these lovely Chocolate Chip Cookie Shot glasses! Using a silicone shot glass mold, I baked the Betty Crocker Cookies.

Chocolate chip cookie shots

This was actually inspired by this famous bakery in New York called Dominic Ansel Bakery where they started serving cookie shot glasses. Unfortunately, there is always a huge queue and by the time your turn comes, the cookie shots are sold out. Bummer!

So I thought, well, let’s make it at home and have a little fun!

Once the Chocolate Chip cookie shot glasses are out of the oven and are cool, put a little bit of melted chocolate inside to evenly coat the insides, pour a little milk into them and drink up! Cheers!

Then add any flavored milk of your choice, drink that milk and take a little bite from that cookie shot glass!!

Ahh… Sinfully Divine!!

Now they say baking is science, but for these recipes – you don’t have to do any rocket science! Just follow the instructions given at the back of the Betty Crocker Cookie Mix (that is – add 1/3 cup of butter and 1 egg. Mix it well and your cookie dough is ready!)

  7. Follow the instructions on the packet. Roll the dough and use gingerbread cookie cutter to form shapes. Bake for 8-10 minutes.

Notes

Pour milk right before serving. Additionally, you can also add a little Nutella inside the cookie shot glasses and then pour milk in it. You can also add warm coffee or any other beverage of your choice. but make sure that it is not too hot, otherwise the base of the cookie glass will become soggy and fall off.
