Must Try Desserts in NYC | Spot Dessert Bar

Harvest Cheesecake at Spot Dessert Bar, NYC

Remember how I said that we had recently been to a Korean BBQ place in New York City and didn’t have dessert at that restaurant since we already had another place in mind? It was none other than Spot Dessert Bar located in Koreatown, NYC.

The one thing that you notice about their desserts is the presentation! It kinda hits you right at the spot! When I saw their menu, I was too excited to try out everything but let’s face it and be real for a second here – I ain’t about to load up on calories.

I fell in love with their ‘Harvest’ Cheesecake as soon as I saw its photo. It has strawberries and cheesecake topped with crushed cookies served in a terra cotta pot with a sprig of parsley on top to resemble an actual plant.

Now, every plant needs to be watered right? Well, in this case, they give you rose milk tea to ‘water your plant.’ I couldn’t stop giggling while doing it. Even the people who were waiting for their dessert to get served were looking in amusement at this ‘potted plant dessert.’ It was also served with raspberry sorbet on the side. Pretty darn cute, if you ask me!

It isn’t really creamy and heavy like the regular cheesecakes but definitely a lovely dessert. Overall it’s a cute place to hang out with especially if you want to go on a fun date with someone.

If you are going out in a group, be sure to get different delicacies so that you can get to taste various flavors. I was also intrigued by their Lava Cake. I’m pretty sure I’m returning to this place some time soon.

They also give you a stamp card – it’s like after every 10 desserts, you get the next one free. Each dessert is priced at $10. Honestly, I found that to be a little steep. But then again it’s not like you come to this place every now and then – sometimes you just wanna treat yourself 🙂

Are there any unique desserts that you have recently tried or made?
