Happy Friday everyone!! I hope you guys are looking ahead for the weekend. It has been a little rainy here and you can see that almost all the trees have lost their leaves. Kind of makes them look sad and dull.
But I didn’t let it hamper my mood and decided to post my Friday Favorites! Like I mentioned in my Fall Colors post, we are celebrating ‘Diwali’ this week – the Festival of Lights! Diwali literally means a ‘Row of Lights.’ It signifies the triumph of good over evil, truth over falsehood and of light over darkness. It is one of the largest and brightest festivals in India with people decorating their houses with lights as well as traditional ‘diyas’ (lamps), preparing sweets, exchanging gifts & bursting fire crackers. Basically, everyone is in a happy mood! You can say that is the one time when people go all out and don’t mind the holes that may be caused in their wallets 😀
So in my Friday favorites, I’m adding this lovely ‘diya’ that we lit up –
Okay, so I’m obsessed with everything that smells good (umm..who doesn’t?) and I recently hauled a few things from Bath & Body works. My excuse? Some things were on 50% off ya’all. I think the word ‘sale’ goes hand in hand with women going crazy over shopping 😀 I’m always trying out new stuff and I’m adding the ones that I’m currently loving –
Speaking of scents, I came across these candles on an Etsy store. And I was like – Wow! they have a scent called ‘Old Books’? The nerd in me started thinking – how heavenly must it smell? 😀 And the other one I came across is called ‘The Shire.’ Lord of the rings fans will definitely feel curious to know how Bilbo Baggins’ Shire smells like (I haven’t tried them but kind of eyeing them 😋)
Have any of you tried similar candles like these? What are your favorite scents? I would love to know because I’m always up for giving things a try 🙂
Have a happy weekend everyone. Stay positive and remember…always keep on smiling!
