Halloween Dog Parade in NYC!!

Dog-parade-NYC

Okay, I’m a sucker for dogs…I just adore them too much. I’m that type of person who will smile at people who are walking their dogs and will stop to look at their cute munchkins (as well as pet them if the dog is friendly and if the owner allows)

Now, what better way to gush over them than in an event where they are dressed in cutesy costumes? Tompkins Square Park in New York City holds a fun Halloween Dog competition every year and this year it was their 25th anniversary.

The place was packed with people and their babies and when I say babies I’m talking about their fur babies! Thousands of people were gathered to see them along with media covering the event. I got to see so many dogs of different breeds strutting their stuff like a boss!

Dogs both big and small were dressed as superheroes, minions, lobsters, bumblebees, pizzas, tacos, pumpkins, and even Disney princesses… I think there is no other place where you will get to see such a colorful event. It was Puppy Paradise for sure!!

Warning: People who love dogs will find major cuteness overload ahead

‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Dog’ & Cute little ‘Devil-Dog’ –

‘The Flash’ with his Superman buddy –

My personal favorites were a little puppy dressed up as Fries and a Great Dane dressed like a horse in a war! (Some of the photos may not be that good of a quality as I wasn’t able to click photos properly all thanks to the massive crowd ?)

Pom-frites puppy complete with a Mayo Hat

Warrior Dog… how elegant is he?

Starbucks Pom-kin spiced Latte & Batman Dog with Joker and Harley Quinn –

And this little guy was dressed up as Donald Trump complete with a blonde wig (which kept falling off) along with the Trump Tower on its back.

This next cutie was dressed as Rihanna at the 2015 Grammys and the dress sure had an uncanny resemblance to her dress 😀 (If you wanna check out how she was dressed at the Grammys, click here) and then there were three little Chihuahuas dressed up as the ‘Three Little Pigs’ complete with an entire set up of the story!

I must commend the enthusiasm of all the owners for taking care of their pets, tending to their every need as well as keeping their behavior in check. There were a lot of entries for the competition… but in my opinion, winning and losing don’t matter. What really matters is the love you have for your pets and oh what a visual treat it was for everyone present there!

Hope you enjoyed looking at these cute little munchkins as much as I enjoyed clicking their photos!

XOXO
