A Visit to a Winery!

wine

“Age is just a number. It’s totally irrelevant unless, of course, you happen to be a bottle of wine.”

― Joan Collins

The joy of having wine can only be known by true wine lovers. We have been wanting to go to a winery for a long time. After doing a bit of research on the good old internet, we decided to visit Alba Vineyard located in New Jersey, which also happens to be one of the best award-winning wineries here.

It is a beautiful and serene place with cheerful staff. They explained the various types of wines they have and what they can be paired with.

We prefer light to medium body red wines over full-bodied ones. The wine tasting was catered based on our preference and after tasting a few amazing wines, we bought a couple of bottles to take home with us.

Their vineyard is spread across vast acres of land. Although we were not able to see the grapes since they were not in season, it was an incredible view.

The aroma of freshly made wood-fired pizza combined with the flavors of wine and live music being played made a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

After eating, we took a long stroll around the winery and I must say we had a very relaxing and pleasant time. My only complaint? I just wish we could have been there longer.

XOXO

I visited many wineries on Long Island when I lived there with my first husband, and also in Upstate New York. Can’t remember the names, but they were always a wonderful experience! The drive out on the Island or to Upstate were so pleasurable, and the wine-tastings were exceptional. The tours were very interesting and educational. I remember visiting one on the Island that was fairly new. They were very proud of their complete stainless steel “caskets.” A very rustic welcome building, though, as I remember. Lovely memories.

I should definitely think of going to wineries located there. Wine tastings are always a delightful experience. I told you this already – but I just wanna say it again that whenever you write, you almost create a perfect picture of the scenario in front of my eyes 🙂

I write as I remember. I picture the scenes in front of me, and just let the words flow. Can’t help it. Love to write, by the way.
